It's fair to say that TF2 Freaks have become a meme and as a result, I find the majority of submissions are either of less than ideal quality or simply of OC "X" who no-one besides their creator has heard of.
I have decided that it is therefore necessary to enforce quality control akin to that on the Freakshow wiki. The specifics will be dealt with later but in terms of content changes, the Freak Concepts folder is being removed entirely and the other folders will be restructured to be more similar to the wiki's form of organisation.
Regarding OC's in general, unless they have significant popularity in their own right, they will not be accepted unless your image is A. High quality and B. features a prominent Freak.
To those who wish to upload OC stuff, I suggest looking to other groups, or founding a "Freak-Concept" group as has been the case with the wiki.
I understand some of you will not agree with my decision, but I'm tired of simply watching this group slip into "OC-central".

RE: The Quality vs. Accessibilty Dilemma
Alright I think the general consensus is that a clean up is in order. Those of you who are willing to help, please let me know via a private note so I can invite you to the contributors. To any who protests that you're works are removed during clean up process, you had your chance to speak up when I published the previous journal. I will discuss with the new organised admins when i get the chance regarding the new quality regulations.

The Quality vs. Accessibilty Dilemma
So from what I've gathered, a lot of what lead to the current state of the group has had to do with the accessibility to the group in regard to submissions. So I face a dilemma regarding improving the quality of submissions to the group. If I implement stricter quality control (as i had started doing in the featured submissions), then we have an inclusivity issue. As much as I hate 'one hit wonders' and poorly posed screenshots from TF2 (yes people have used TF2 screenshots as freak images), I don't want this to become an "elitists club".
So I'm asking you guys for input. If you still care enough about this group to want to see it try to imp
shutting down the group [not quite]
it was a fun run, but I'm shutting down the group
[edit] it seems that the group has not been deleted and swiff has simply retired. I will see what I can do.
There may be some changes in future regarding folder structure to include things like comics etc, but for the most part I expect things to carry on as normal.

Regarding submissions to the Featured gallery
Do not simply post a Garry's mod scene to this gallery. It is meant for well made art that includes additional work being done besides posing. If you have made a good effort with this in terms of posing and editing, then your submission will most likely be accepted, but I will not accept submissions which are simply posed screenshots.
Please think before you submit.
